Vermont Fall
Posted by Jerry on Wednesday, October 29th, 2008
Hi, friends
Bonnie and I arrived in Florida a couple of weeks ago with our horses Taz and Dakota and immediately turned around and flew up to Vermont for two clinics and some private and group lessons. The weather started out cold but it warmed up and the latter part of the week was ideal fall weather. For those of you have not spent a leaf peeping season in Vermont you don’t know what you are missing. The fall colors were beautiful. Click below to see a short video clip of the place we stayed.

Jerry is amazing in his way of getting the point across. A great sense of humor, easy going way of teaching . Jerry, as I have told others, can give you your needed critique (The proverbial 2×4) but its covered with cotton. Never is anyone left feeling unaccomplished. He inspires me to do better. -Leslie, Vt.-
I grew up being told teachers have eyes in the back of their heads, he proves the good ones do. He dosen’t miss a thing. -Pat, Vt.-
I am starting to gear up for the season here in Florida but my time is limited because I have so many irons in the fire. I have some exciting new ideas about group lessons for those students close enough to travel and some great things for everyone that might be too far to travel but would like some input from an instructor on a regular basis. I am starting to finalize these ideas now and will let you be the first to know.
I was thinking the other day about what I could do for all of you as a Thank You and I remembered a book I downloaded almost a year ago called On Horsemanship by Xenophon. I found this book in the public domain, so I reformated it and added a short introduction and thought it might be of interest to you. My plan is to add footnotes for Parelli students to this classic book, but for now the info is still relevant. So here it is with my introduction. Hope you enjoy!
On Horsemanship If you are on my email list you received the password in your email.
Stay tuned for my next emails. I will have more details about the upcoming events and programs that I have designed to help you along your horsemanship journey.

I think you are totally right about practicing at home mentally and physically. It makes so much sense to have the picture in your mind and body before you try it on your partner.
We did the riding on the balls during Fluidity 2, which was similar, and it really was fun and gave us the same type experience.
You have such great ideas!! I love the idea of make up days and the offer to refund $$ after a clinic if not satisfied. I can’t imagine it happening though.
I took the level 1 clinic you offered to the Savvy Sisters (level 3 students) last year and it was a new concept to me to go backwards and check the foundation. It was amazing and so worthwhile!
It was one of my very best clinics ever and I learned and relearned a lot. It was well worth it and I would highly recommend you as one of my favorite instructors. You certainly are a gifted and compassionate teacher.
You made level 1 challenging and thought provoking for level 3 students for sure!!
thanks and hope to see you soon!
