But, one thing I do know is that competitors often put their goal as first and foremost in importance. So, competitive horseman should always be reminded to ask the following question: Am I putting my goals or priniciples first? But, this performance looked beautiful! Rider and horse had impeccable communication. My heart raced and I felt a bit breathless. I don’t know how the horse has been trained. But, one thing I do know is that competitors often put their goal as first and foremost in importance. It reminded me that 20 years ago I had a dream of becoming an accomplished finesse rider but let it slip away, thinking I could never finance the dream. This performance truly is beautiful and definitely world class. While I can dream, I know I will never accomplish something as inspiring as that performance but by setting my sights high and aiming for perfection, perhaps I can achieve excellence!
